Stout sword with Aikuchi Koshirae + Kotsuka
<Swordsmith and sword feature>
Swordsmith Norinari則成, real name Yoshida Morimitsu 吉田盛三 was born 28 July 1930. He is a resident of Toyama Prefecture. He earned the swordmaking license in 1972 and successfully presented his work at the 20th Shinsakuto Meito Sword Competition 新作刀名刀展 in 1974.
He has studied under Onishi Sadanari 大西貞成, Takahashi Tsuguhira 高橋次平, and Miyairi Yukihira 宮入行平.
This piece comes in unique Aikuchi Koshirae which resembles to 上杉謙信 Uesugi Kenshin's Yamatorige 山鳥毛(Sanshoumou) Naginata Koshirae 佩刀拵.
The inscription says "For Busshi Korin, Norinari made this sword 為佛師侊琳則成作之, 1995 New year Auspicious day 平成七年正月吉日"( Busshi means Japanese Sculptors specializing in Buddha statues.)

This sword is thick and slightly wide, Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune. The curve is Toriizori style and the blade top is Nakamine.
<Hada - Forging>
The jihada (body of the sword) is a tightly forged Itame 板目肌 and coarse Jinie(地沸 darkish crystal)granule attaches on the surface.
<Hamon - Temper patterns>
Boshi- temper line of the tip is Midarekomi(wavy) with rich Hakikake activities and turns back to a gentle curl called Komaru.
<Nakago - Tang>
The Tang is Ubu(original) and has Sujigai file marks. Nakago end is Kurijiri shape.

<Koshirae - Mountings>

Fuchi Kashira: Made of buffalo horn.
Koiguchi: Made of buffalo horn.
Kojiri: Made of buffalo horn.
Menuki: Engraved cow on Shakudo base.
Kotsuka: Engravings of farmer and cow on Nanako pattern Shakudo(copper and gold alloy) base.
Tsuka: Tensho 天正 style - coverd with ray skin with Oyatsubu and wrapped with dark brown pure silk in Morohineri-maki style.
Saya: Kuroro - lacquered in black, with Kaeritsuno 返り角 and Kotsukahi 小柄櫃.
Polish: There are some Hike otherwise in good condition.
Defects such as openings, chips and cracks: None.
