<Swordsmith and sword feature>
Takami Kuniichi 高見國一, real name "Kazuyoshi Takami" lives and forges at his workshop in Hyogo prefecture, he sometimes uses the name "Taro" 太郎 for his inscription.
He was a top disciple of Kawachi Kunihira 河内國平 who was designated as an Intangible Cultural Property and Kuniichi, now he teaches in Waseda University as a guest professor in his busy schedule.
His talent and faithful efforts brought him numerous prizes such as 5 Excellency award, 4 Best effort award, 4 Grand award, the Grand Highest award(Saiko-sho) and last year he won Kanzan-sho 寒山賞(特賞)in the annual Shinsaku Meito Exhibition.
He is said to be the next Mukansa swordsmith in the near future.
As a swordsmith, Kuniichi is certainly determined to pursue both artistic and practical swords... he test-cuts rolled mats with his swords in the workshop yard.

This is a very rare 3 shaku sword which has never been used, with beautiful Masame ji and Sudareba + freshly polished blade.
We also re-wrapped Tsuka-maki and re-coated the black Hanzame-Saya.
<Appearance>
It has an ordinary blade weight and a width, Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune. The curve is Toriizori style and the blade top is Nakamine.
<Hada - Forging>
The jihada (body of the sword) is an Itame with running tendancies and Masa around the cutting edge. Coarse Jinie(darkish crystal)granule attaches on the surface.
<Hamon - Temper patterns>
The Hamon is Gunome Midare with Ashi activities and Suna-nagashi shows it's flowing sand-like pattern.
In the Hamon brilient nie white crystals mix with Masame then forms Sudareba.
Boshi- temper line of the tip is Midarekomi(wavy) and turns back to a gentle curl called Komaru.
<Nakago - Tang>
The Tang is Ubu(original) and has Sujigai file marks. Nakago end is Kurijiri shape.
<Habaki-Metal collar>
Solid silver single piece Habaki with Yujo pattern.

<Koshirae - Mountings>

Tsuba: Solid silver Sukashi Tsuba with the design of heaving waves.
Fuchi Kashira: Solid silver set with engravings of dragon.
Menuki: Solid silver set with engravings of dragon.
Tsuka: Covered with black dyed ray skin with Oyatsubu and wrapped with black leather in Morotsumi-maki style.

Kojiri: Engravings of dragon on Shakudo base.
Saya: Kuroro (black lacquered ) with Han KuroSame -black dyed Ray skin partly covers Saya (new coating).
<Blade Condition>
Polish: Freshly polished.
