<Swordsmith and sword feature>
Swordsmith Isobe Ikkansai Mitsuhiro 磯部一貫斎光廣、, real name Isobe Koji 磯部光司 was born in 1915 and learned under Miyaguchi Ikansai Tadahiro 宮口一貫齋寿廣.
He obtained sword forging license in 1960 and won many awards including Doryoku sho 努力賞.

This piece used to be actor Lee Murayama's favorite Tameshigiri sword which he brought into our shop recently.
Before uploading to our websites, we ordered our polisher to give a special Togi- a professional polishing which enable to recover its original incredible sharpness. The Togishi cautiously polished this blade especially at the tip where he changed the polishing angle in every few millimeters and all his effort resulted in this fantastic sharp blade.
Well balanced, stout Tameshigiri sword with a beautiful cutting ability.

The wide blade has an ordinary weight and a width, Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune. The curve is Toriizori style and the blade top is Nakamine.
There are Katachiri Bohi(thick groove which extends to shinogi,leaves flat space only on Mune side) and Soehi 添樋 (thin groove) on both side of the blade.

The Jihada (body of the sword) is Itame Nagare(wood grain swirls) then it shows Masa Gokoro(tone) on Ha side. Coarse Jinie(darkish crystal)granule attaches on the surface.

<Hamon - Temper patterns>
The Hamon is Gunome Midare with abundant Ashi activities. The entire Ji-ha is rich in KoNie and Nioi which is quite clear and splendidly bright. The interior of temper is filled in with deep Nioi.
Boshi- temper line of the tip is Midarekomi(wavy) and turns back to a gentle curl called Komaru.
