<Swordsmith and sword feature>
Swordsmith Izu Ju Sadahito 伊豆住貞人, real name Enomoto Sadahito 榎本貞人 was born in 1954 and lives in Shizuoka prefecture 静岡県.
His father was Mukansa smith 無鑑査刀匠 Enomoto Sadayoshi 榎本貞吉. He began training under his father while an elementary student then became a licensed smith in 1977.
He specializes in the Soshu Den 相州伝, making swords in the tradition of Masamune and Sadamune. He also works in the Gassan tradition and makes the trademark ayasugi hada by using tamahagane as well as old steel and Oroshigane.
He is currently the President of the Tokai Branch of the National Association of Swordsmith.
Sadahito is a regular entrant in the yearly NBTHK Shinsakuto 新作刀 contests - he has won three Doryoku Sho 努力賞( Best Effort Award) in the past.
This sword was originally made as an Iai Shinken - the Nukimi weight is light (985g) and takes a very good balance with Hibori also has a beautiful Ji.
It has an ordinary blade weight and a width, Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune. The blade top is Nakamine.
There are Katachiri Bohi(thick groove which extends to shinogi,leaves flat space only on Mune side) on both side of the blade.
<Hada - Forging>
The jihada (body of the sword) is a Itame板目 with Masame here and there in company with Chikei地景. It has a tendency called Hadatachi Gokoro肌立ち心 - a hada tends to stand out, or in other words, a Hada which stands out a little.
<Hamon - Temper patterns>
The Hamon is Notare Gunome mixed with Kogunome, brilliant nie white crystals attaches abundantly while Ashi足 and Yo 葉 activities appear on the surface.
The cutting edge has Sunanagasi (activity in the temper line like brushed sand).
Boshi- temper line of the tip is Hamon Nari刃紋成り( follows the line) with rich Hakikake activities and turns back to a gentle curl called Komaru.
<Nakago - Tang>
The Tang is Ubu(original) and has Kesho(decorative) file marks 化粧鑢. Nakago end is Kurijiri shape.

<Koshirae - Mountings>

Tsuba: Round iron base Sukashi Tsuba with a motifs of cherry flower.
Fuchi Kashira: Iron base Higo style Nunome-zogan with arabesque and cherry blossom inlay.
Menuki: Engraved dragonfly.
Tsuka: Covered with ray skin with Oyatsubu and wrapped with Nando color 納戸色 (teal) pure silk in Morotsumi-maki style.
Saya: Kogecha Ishimenuri - a rough textured dark brown lacquerer finish.
Polish: Although the blade seems "cloudy" due to Furutogi, it is generally in good condition.
Defects such as openings, chips and cracks: None.
