Smith Norizane at his workshop, Smith Norizane's "Katana Kitae"
We brought in this blade in "Uchioroshi 打ち下ろし" state(no proper polishing yet, just forged and polished roughly) then tightly fitted with Giheiya Koshirae.
After the completion of Koshirae, we ordered our polisher to give a special Togi- a professional polishing which enable to recover its original incredible sharpness as an "Owazamono".
The Togishi cautiously polished this blade especially at the tip where he changed the polishing angle in every few millimeters and all his effort resulted in this fantastic sharp blade.
After the Togi polishing, this sword shows remarkably beautiful Ji and Hada - this is also a collectible art piece as you can see in the pictures below.
It has an ordinary blade weight, Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune. The curve is Toriizori style and the blade top is Nakamine.
<Hada - Forging>
The jihada (body of the sword) is brilliant, a Itame mixed with Masame and coarse Jinie(darkish crystal)granule attaches on the surface.
<Hamon - Temper patterns>
The Hamon is Gunome Miare with Ara nie crystals attaches abundantly on the cutting edge.
Ginsuji(silver line) runs through along the temper line and it shows Sudareba.
Boshi- temper line of the tip is Midarekomi(wavy) with rich Hakikake activities and turns back to a gentle curl called Komaru.
<Nakago - Tang>
The Tang is Ubu(original) and has Sujigai file marks. Nakago end is Kurijiri shape.
Solid silver single piece Habaki with Yujo pattern.
