<Swordsmith and sword feature>
This well balanced sword gives a very light feel to users despite its tough and stout looks.
Giheiya had upgraded this Edo era Shinshinto before adding to our Iaito list by fitting New Kanagu(Tsuba, Fuchi Kashira, Menuki) and a new Tsuka-maki(wrapping).

<Appearance>
It has an ordinary blade weight, Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune. The curve is Toriizori style and the blade top is Nakamine.
There are Katachiri Bohi(thick groove which extends to shinogi,leaves flat space only on Mune side) on both side of the blade.

<Hada - Forging>
The jihada (body of the sword) is a Itame with running tendancies and coarse Jinie(darkish crystal)granule attaches on the surface.

<Hamon - Temper patterns>
The Hamon is Choji with abundant Ashi activities and Ginsuji(silver line) runs through along the temper line.
Boshi- temper line of the tip is Midarekomi(wavy) and turns back to a gentle curl called Komaru.

<Nakago - Tang>
The Tang is Ubu(original) and has Sujichigai file marks. Nakago end is Kurijiri shape.

<Habaki-Metal collar>
Solid silver single piece Habaki with Yujo pattern.

<Signature>
None(Mumei).

<Koshirae - Mountings>
please check the detail pictures.

Tsuba: Round iron base Sukashi Tsuba with a motif of Kinai style dragon(New).
Fuchi Kashira: Giheiya original design - Engraved dragon on a solid silver base(New).
Menuki: Solid silver Menuki withe engravings of dragon(New).
Tsuka: Covered with ray skin with Oyatsubu and wrapped with black suede in Morohineri-maki style(New wrapping).
Saya: Dark brown-Ishimenuri - a rough textured dark brown lacquer finish.

<Blade Condition>
Polish: There are tiny, thin rusts due to Furutogi.
Defects such as openings, chips and cracks: None.
