<Swordsmith and sword feature>
Unshu Ju Sadateru 雲州住貞照, real name Kobayashi Hirotsugu 小林弘嗣 was born as the first son of swordsmith Sadayoshi 貞善(Kobayashi Daishiro 小林大四郎 ).
In 1967 he, his younger brother Sadanaga 貞永 and Sadanori 貞法 joined at Kobayashi Nihonto Smith's workshop 小林日本刀鍛錬場 to learn under his father Sadayoshi, later he was awarded with an intangible cultural asset of Okuizumocho, Shimane prefecture. His brother Sadanaga 貞永 and Sadanori 貞法 were also awarded with an important intangible cultural asset of Shimane prefecture.

This sword is a wonderful Owazamono piece for Tameshigiri.


<Appearance>
This wide and thick blade has a curve called Toriizori. Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune and the blade top is Omine,


<Hada - Forging>
The jihada (body of the sword) is a tightly forged Koitame and coarse Jinie(darkish crystal)granule attaches on the surface.


<Hamon - Temper patterns>
The Hamon is Suguba.
Boshi- temper line of the tip is Midarekomi(wavy) and turns back to a gentle curl called Komaru.


<Nakago - Tang>
The Tang is Ubu(original) and has Kesho(decorative) file marks. Nakago end is Kurijiri shape.


<Habaki-Metal collar>
Gold gilded copper single piece Habaki with Yujo pattern.


<Koshirae - Mountings>

Tsuba: Higo style iron base tsuba with gold and silver inlay(Nunome Zogan) in the designs of cherry and arabesque.
Fuchi Kashira & Kojiri: Iron base, Higo style set with gold and silver inlay with Japanese gourd motif.
Menuki: Engravings of horse
Tsuka: Covered with ray skin with Oyatsubu and wrapped with black pure silk in Morohineri-maki style.
Saya: Kuroro - a black lacquerer finish.


<Blade Condition>
Polish: In good condition.
Defects such as openings, chips and cracks: None.
